"The Red Cross came down our street one afternoon, a few days after Hurricane Charley had it's way with Port Charlotte, FL. ... distributing water ... and these strange looking boxes. They said, "Just follow the instructions on the package."
I was Air Force for six years, but have never seen these "heater meals" before. Of course I was skeptical, but gave it a try. Bottom line, I was really impressed! It creates it's own heat in the package, and it's ready in just minutes.
I am also an Ex Volunteer Fire Chief, and am now an "over-the-road" trucker, and have also never noticed these in any travel centers or truck stops. I think it would be a good thing to have a few of these stored ... especially in the north country in the winter, as you never know when or where you may be stranded in a blizzard or other situation. After your meal, the unit still creates radiant heat for a little time afterwards, and could be a life saver in a bad situation.
Thanks for creating a usable and inexpensive product that fills a serious need and actually tastes good, and to the American Red Cross ... for always being there in the time of catastrophe and crisis."

"Not bad! I bought the sample case 2 years ago for emergencies. Just finished eating them all - not bad after 2 years in the closet! The Chicken Pasta Italiana is my second favorite out of the sample case - the first is Green Pepper Steak."

"If it hadn't been for Heater Meals my husband and I would of been without anything to eat if we hadn't tried your meals during an ice storm we got caught in, in Utah. We are boat haulers and we live in Florida and we weren't ready to be stuck in a storm of ice and snow for a few days. Thank God for Heater Meals. "I was deployed in the Gulfcoast Region during Hurricane Katrina with the American Red Cross. I throughly enjoyed the Green Pepper steak as well as the Chicken Italian Pasta. I brought one hame with me and my kids thought it was cool to see how the food was prepared for the victims of Katrina. Your company was a God send. I can not say thanks enough."

"As a result of working with the TBC Disaster Relief team in New Orleans, I was priviledged to try these meals throughout the week we were there. I was so filled up by the food provided in this meal. The main entree was fabulous. The other parts of the meal were great. However, the breadsticks were not so good. The overall quality of the meal was excellent! Plus, I really enjoy how well the meal is heated. Once the heater pack has cooled off a little bit, it can double as a hand warmer (but not until it has cooled off, because you will get burned). :) I consider myself a big guy who likes to eat. The meal left me stuffed."

"After hurricane wilma I got at least 4 of the heater meals plus from the red cross. And I loved them from the first time I tried it. I had the Chicken with Noodles and gravy and the mushroom, gravy and beef. They are the greatest thing to eat after eating the first one. Now living in Florida I'm buying them by the 12 pack so that I have them here to eat and in the case of another hurricane too.
Heate-r Meals are the preserved balance meal of today and tomarrow and forever."

"I received several ready-to-eat meals during Hurricane Katrina but the Chicken Pasta Italiana Heater Meal was the best by far. The pasta has delicious homemade-tastin-g sauce and is chock full of chicken. Since I had never had a Heater Meal before, I was also pleasantly surprised to find that it came with bread sticks, desert, a delicious can of Iced Tea and seasonings (which, by the way, I didn't even have to use!). Thank you for introducing such a great product."

"Thanks for helping the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina. We were at a large center with a thousand refugees who Red Cross was giving financial assistance to and here came your heater meals. They were so very welcome to the hungry people. And I saw many people leave with an additional meal or two. They are so very nice to have during all the long hours of clean up and the meals are very tasty.
We workers also liked the meals they were very delicious. I even brought one home to show how wonderful they work to all my friends. Your generousity and helpfulness is so very very appreciated.

"I had my first experience with heater meals as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Afer being without power for over a week, seeing an American Red Cross worker along with members of our local volunteer fire department pull up in our yard offering water and food was a very welcome sight! The meals were easy to prepare and very tasty. Our children enjoyed preparing their own meal and were fascinated by it! Thank you for making such a wonderful, well designed and needed product! I am ordering more because we have 3 more months of Hurrricane season left and I plan on being prepared!"

"I ordered HeaterMeals to try them out after Hurricane Frances. We were stuck in our closed, dark home for almost 24 hours while the storm slowly moved through. I wanted to be able to eat something hot during the storm. We had no idea we were going to be hit by Jeanne exactly 3 weeks later. So I have already tried the Three Cheese Lasagna and have to say that it was great! I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It had a nice combination of seasoning, vegatables, and cheese. The temperature was perfect. I will be buying more and recommending them to my family, friends, and neighbors."
