"I am a long haul tractor trailer driver, meaning I live in my truck more then my home for 2-4 weeks out to my 2-4 days home. As can be imagined truck stop food (though very good and extremely fattening)can be very expensive. This effects my bottom and bottom line (pun intended). I finally decided to try one of these heater meals (Lasagna), afraid it was going to bring back bad memories of C-rations from my Navy days. Believe me it was not even close. The flavor was fantastic, and it is also a great way to portion control, an area that I desperately needed help with. The other side benefit is the cost of roughly $5-6 per meal is alot better then $10-15 in a truckstop, and doesn't need to be kept refrigerated. The Coleman type powered coolers will reduce the temp up to about 30 degrees lower then the ambient temp in Laredo, TX that is maybe 40-60 degrees (usually 60) which is not cold enough to keep uncooked meat for too long. That is said with experience as I through away my 5lbs pound of uncooked chicken breast that went bad. Got a bit long winded but had to say what I thought.
