HeaterMeals Sponsors Iron Skillet Cook Off 2009

     11/2/09 - Over 400 guests attended the 8th Annual Iron Skillet Cook Off 2009 tonight in New York City.  The cook off event matched local restaurants against New York Fire Department companies.  The event, sponsored by the World Cares Center (WCC), raised funds to support their emergency preparedness programs.  The WCC provides a straightforward and unique approach to emergency prevention, disaster preparation, and integrated community disaster response.

     HeaterMeals donated over 500 meals that were included in Go-bags given to the guests.  Iron Skillet organizers commented later that, "The HeaterMeals were a popular item and we were happy to be able to provide it to our guests as one of the first steps in preparedness."
