HeaterMeals Participates in Educational Summit 2009

     11/13/09 - Over 300 college and high school students and teachers from the greater Cincinnati area, and 37 speakers, gathered at Northern Kentucky University (NKU) today for the Greater Cincinnati World Affairs Council’s International Education Summit.  Attending students came from seven Cincinnati area high schools, and NKU. 

    Dave Blandford, Marketing Director at HeaterMeals Marketing Director Dave Blandford spoke with students as a panelist discusssing “Nutrition.”  There was also a focused discussion on emergency food preparedness choices.

     According to GlobalCincinnati.org, "The International Education Summit is a program designed to raise awareness of high school students regarding their future careers in the international field. Each year a different global topic is chosen and experts in that field are brought in to discuss their role in combating the issue. Not only are students able to listen to a panel discussion on the designated subject, but they are provided individual opportunities to speak directly with the presenters in “speed networking” sessions where they are encouraged to interact and learn from the professionals in their field of interest. The Summit focuses on all workforce opportunities as representatives from governmental, community and private organizations are represented."
