Red Cross Chapter Sponsors Disaster Preparedness Academy

     11/4/09 – The Orange County Chapter of the Red Cross sponsored the 25^th Annual Disaster Preparedness Academy today at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.  The goal of the academy is to provide the community with information “regarding emergency preparedness planning, mitigation, response skills and recovery operations.”

     The estimated 500 attendees at the one day event included individuals from the business community, public and private education, government, community agencies and health services.  In addition to workshop sessions, attendees had the opportunity to learn more about emergency related products and services, such as HeaterMeals, in the Exhibit Hall.

     HeaterMeals own Roger Kief attended the conference.  He met and spoke with attendees, and introduced our newest product, Cafe2Go The Self-Heating Beverage Kit.
